About the event

Art Diamonds is a three year-long creative project of arts activities and events for people of retirement age in Gateshead. In addition to the Creative Challenges in Gateshead Libraries there are workshops with artists, cultural visits and lots of opportunities to meet new people.

Are you of retirement age and wanting to meet new people? Art Diamonds has lots of creative activities in Gateshead Libraries to join in with artists, weekly creative challenges and cultural visits.

Every week during 2019, there will be Creative Challenges in 7 Gateshead Libraries. Drop in any time to have a go or join a group session led by library staff.

The conference brings together artists, practitioners, funders and policy-makers in the arts and health sectors to discuss the progress that has been made since the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts Health and Wellbeing released the report Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing in 2017.

The event is aimed at members of the media including journalists, drama writers and producers and aims to inform and demystify creative wellbeing activity.
