About the event

Lunchtime Concerts are brought to you by Breathe Arts Health Research in partnership with Guy's & St Thomas' Charity. These FREE weekly performances are held in public spaces across Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital to enhance the healthcare environment for patients, staff and visitors. In celebration of Creativity and Wellbeing Week, on the 19th of June we invite you to watch the young and vibrant string quartet ‘Bowjangles’. They combine virtuoso string quartet performance with classy vocals, hilarious comedy and energetic dance moves in a stunning stage show which hark back to the good old days of Music Hall Variety, when talent was truly multidimensional.

A favourite at festivals and theatres the world over, Bowjangles have that rare appeal to all ages and walks of life. Ezme (cello), Bertie (viola), Ed (violin) and Mitch (violin) have been working together as Bowjangles for 5 years. Four equally strong personalities, all quirky and funny in their own unique way, offer you an incredible and eccentric Vaudeville style performance like none that you will have ever seen before. Breathe Arts Health Research presents this Spring-to-Summer Season range of internationally renowned performers coming in to the hospitals to delight patients, staff & visitors with a mixture of music, dance and poetry.

The programme always includes celebratory events to mark religious and cultural holidays, as well as a diverse mix of opera, classical, jazz and world music. So come along, bring your lunch and enjoy this special opportunity to see world class performers in this unique setting.
