About the event

Come and experience the mesmerizing sound of a harp ensemble. The performance is given by a group of Breathe’s resident harpists who, alongside a busy professional schedule, also play individually in the wards and clinical spaces around the two hospitals. Today they have joined together for a unique and special concert to celebrate London Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

About Breathe’s resident music programme.

Breathe Arts Health Research works in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity to deliver a diverse and engaging performing arts programme across clinical and public spaces of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and the local communities of Lambeth & Southwark.

Alongside our weekly public performances a dedicated team of world class soloists play regularly in wards and clinical areas in the two hospital sites and in the community. This programme involves musicians visiting these spaces on a regular basis and performing for patients and staff. We have over a dozen musicians who play an array of different instruments — harp, guitar, flute, cora & percussion. Over the course of a year they will give over 900 individual performances.

If you have been a patient in one of the two hospitals whether it is in a ward, clinic or in community services, we hope you will have had the opportunity to hear one of these amazing soloists and been able to enjoy their musical talent. If this is your first taste, we hope you enjoy it.
