About the event

Georgina Fowler is a long term patient at Royal Brompton Hospital: I am inspired by fairy tales, imagination and the surreal. Through drawing I electronically manipulate images to create a surface pattern that influences the imagination. With the use of bright colours this then explores a dream like existence. The patterns are then applied to ceramic vessels that have also been manipulated to have a subtle twisted shape.

Linda Fowler: I studied textiles many years ago and have always painted and drawn. A few years ago my daughter Georgina graduated from art college and we ended up with a kiln at home, this gave me the opportunity to experiment with clay for the first time.

I am fascinated with movement and form of animals, in particular horses. I find the textures of earthenware paper clay help to bring the animal sculptures I create to life.
