About the event

Learn to deliver Circle Dance in your service at a training day at Dementia UK.

We have adapted and simplified circle dances which uses music from many countries and links to celebrations and life events. The format is straightforward to learn and achievable, enabling a group of 6-14 users to enjoy music and movement, contact and relationship enhancement.

It works well for older people and especially for those with dementia and other health issues; the dances can be done seated and standing - depending on the needs of  your users; it is an inclusive and flexible activity, allowing for movement, music, enhancing relationships, enjoyment, reminiscence and well-being. Feedback received form those trained is very positive.  It also has scope for involving interested relatives and friends both on-going and at parties/events at your centres.

The cost for a place on the day is £100pp. This includes the 20 track music CD and guidance for use.
