About the event

'Garage biology', the counterculture to mainstream scientific research, has surged in popularity since it began in the late 1990s. Find out what it’s like to have a biology lab in your basement and consider historical perspectives to challenge whether these experiments are as revolutionary as they appear.

Discussion
This event will involve presentations from the speakers and a panel discussion, followed by a chance for questions from the audience.
