About the event

Due to unforeseen works in the grounds of Goodmayes Hospital this event has been postponed.  However it is still possible to view Walking the Dog on

Join us to celebrate the installation of a new public artwork Spectrum by Anna Heinrich & Leon Palmer in the grounds of Goodmayes Hospital Ilford, part of the North East London NHS Foundation Trust, inspired by Walking the Dog, a collection of short animated films made by service users and other communities during an engagement programme with Salmagundi Films. The aim of the public art programme was to create a high quality artwork through contemporary socially engaged arts practice exploring common issues of stigma, isolation and mental health. The idea for the artwork has been directly inspired by the films and messages and the artists’ intention is to create a vibrant intervention that offers people the experience of viewing the world through different colour filters and to feel the way that colour can subtly alter their mood and perception of the world.
