About the event

Hearing Things

A scratch performance of a new play in development by Playing On Theatre Company.

In partnership with Dragon Cafe, Mental Fight Club and Anxiety - an arts & mental health festival for London 2014.

This is the first taster event of a cycle of events showcasing the different partnerships being created as part of Anxiety - an arts & mental health festival for London 2014.

Jim Pope's theatre company will bring a scratch performance to the dynamic day's schedule at Dragon Cafe.

During the hour actors will play out different elements of the play in development

Dragon Cafe audiences will be encouraged to take part in elements of discussions and/or forum theatre about the themes in the work.

The play 'Hearing Things' is being developed from a series of workshops with patients and staff on mental health wards at Homerton Hospital, East London.

It will be the first time any service users and the public will be able to see early stage ideas of how the play is developing.

This event is a the first of many as the Anxiety curatorial team from The Mental Health Foundation are developing in the run up to June 2014.
