LIVING EARTH - CLAY FOR THE SOUL
- A tactile therapeutic adventure for the Soul
Tutors: Anthony Walters (Ceramics) / Ameena M. McConnell (Textures)

ABOUT...
Research shows...Clay-work is described as facilitating and enabling the expression (and release) of emotions (and feelings), due to the tactile quality of clay which enables sensorial involvement and rhythmical movements… great for absorbing stress and creating personal moments of inner peace.

ACTIVITY...
Participants will be encouraged to smash, pound and bash their clay as a way of therapeutically engaging with this material.  All participants will make an object in response to a theme (to be decided).  All objects created will be fired and glazed by the Art School and returned to the participants.  To measure impact we will ask questions before clay-work starts and at the end of clay-work.
