About the event

MakeSpace is Charnwood Arts weekly craft based creative arts group for adults, designed to foster creativity for wellbeing. We offer a number of craft based activities for you to get involved with, including but not exclusively, crochet, knitting, sewing, embroidery and rag rugging.

Why not join us for our special launch of the MakeSpace group on Wednesday 15th June 2016 at 12.30-2.30pm at Charnwood Arts Artshouse, no. 29 Granby Street, Loughborough, Le11 3DU. This is an open group and is an extension of its sister group RawArt which is specifically for adults with long term and enduring mental health illness, with an emphasis on fine art practice.

MakeSpace is open to all and was previously Café_Space, it has been running as a pilot since 2012.

So why not take a bit of time out to come and join us, feel free to bring along any projects of your own to be getting on with or just join in with the activities we have on offer; enjoy a chat and a cup of tea with fellow craft enthusiasts.

In the same week we will also be launching our MakeSpace for Men collaborative project between Loughborough University and Charnwood Arts, Tuesday 14th June 2016, 6pm – 8pm.

No previous experience necessary

The event is FREE – we just ask for a small donation to go towards tea, coffee and biscuits.
