About the event

What links maps and rivers? The world may be viewed from the perspective of the rivers that allowed the world’s oldest and current civilisations to thrive; as in the case of the Nile, Yellow River, Ganges, Thames and Seine.

Maps chart the path of life as it flourishes, as civilisations ebb and flow, as well as the path of the river itself. Rivers may change and maps follow them, each one representing a moment in time.
