About the event

Please join us for a special viewing of our current Art in Focus exhibition 'Medicine During the First World War' and a sculpture tour at Charing Cross Hospital.

This fascinating photography exhibition was originally installed at St. Mary's Hospital to mark the centenary anniversary of the First World War in November 2014.  The photographs, sourced from the Imperial War Museum archive, are a fascinating insight into medical practice 100 years ago and show the crucial role London hospitals and the medical service teams played in winning the war.  The works have also been exhibited at Hammersmith Hospital, so this final public exhibition will be the last opportunity to see the works before they are permanently installed within one of our units.

The special view will be followed by a sculpture tour of the hospital and will include work by Henry Moore, Robert Clatworthy, Jill Berelowitz and Tadeusz Koper.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Places are limited so please register for this event.
