About the event

OPUS Music CIC is an organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality musical encounters in healthcare environments.  Musicians are highly trained through European Commission funded programmes led by Musique et Sante (Paris) and Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester) to take music-making to patients, visitors and healthcare staff to the benefit of their health and wellbeing.

OPUS is delighted to be launching a new three-year programme of music-making during Creativity and Wellbeing Week.  Musicians will be working at the bedside and in communal spaces with young patients at Leicester, Nottingham and Derbyshire Children's Hospitals along with Kings Mill Hospital children's wards thanks to renewed funding from Youth Music and other local charities.
