About the event

The seminar brings together arts and cultural organisations, and public service commissioners, to explore ways in which arts and cultural organisations can deliver effective public service outcomes.  It will have a strong focus on health & wellbeing, show-casing good practice from across England, enabling peer to peer learning, and providing networking opportunities.  It will also tackle some of the issues relating to cultural commissioning more broadly, including: relationship between high quality artistic / cultural practice and delivery of public service outcomes; collaborative working to secure commissions; demonstrating impact on public service outcomes; engaging users in service design.  The seminar will also see the launch of the Cultural Commissioning Programme's research report, including findings on the social value of arts and cultural programmes.
