About the event

An evening of song and music to celebrate and support The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields’ work with homeless people in London. Streetwise Opera is joined by performers from Woven Gold, and the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields for an uplifting early evening concert presenting music from the repertoire of all three groups.

Streetwise Opera is an award-winning charity that uses music as a tool to help 500 homeless people per year move forward in their lives. We do this through a weekly music programme in 11 homeless centres across England and by staging critically-acclaimed opera productions starring our homeless performers.

Woven Gold is the music group at the Helen Bamber Foundation, which works with survivors of cruelty, and includes refugees from Algeria, Burma, Chechnya, Iran, Kurdistan, Pakistan, from many African countries, and also professional UK musicians who give their time.
