About the event

Harriet Riddell will set-up her stitching station - a wheeled suitcase hosting a sewing machine and lots of materials as part of #ScrubLife at Royal Brompton, the Royal Marsden, and Chelsea and Westminster hospitals. For #Scrublife, Harriet will absorb and observe the spirit of hospital life, and stitch her commentary on hospital scrubs, creating a visible narrative for the health journey of the patients in a non-clinical way. The stitched scrubs will be worn publicly to create a positive impact, help build positive relationships, and create a Borough-wide project to unite health organisations.

#Scrublife is produced by Harriet Riddell in partnership with rb&hArts, the arts department at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, where Harriet Riddell is currently In Residence, supported by InTRANSIT, the borough's annual showcase of art and performance in unexpected places. It is funded by Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Arts Grant Scheme with support from The Brompton Fountain.
